Dry processing technology is a more traditional method for extracting cassava starch, while wet processing technology is a relatively excellent and efficient starch extraction method, which is the preferred processing process for starch producers, It can ensure the high yield and excellent quality of cassava starch. The wet process of cassava starch processing can be divided into three important stages: cleaning stage, processing stage, and drying stage.

The cleaning stage of the wet cassava starch processing process refers to the preliminary processing, which removes impurities attached to cassava tubers during the cassava excavation process. Fresh cassava tubers are sifted through a dry sieve to remove weeds and stones, and then transported to a paddle cleaning machine to remove sediment through the principle of countercurrent washing.

The processing stage involves converting cassava tubers into cassava pulp and extracting starch from it. The cleaned cassava tubers are first cut into pieces on the slicing machine, and then the cut cassava blocks are converted into fine pulp under the rotary grinding action of the file mill. Subsequently, the cassava pulp will be transported to a centrifugal sieve for slurry separation, and transported to a desander to remove the remaining mud and sand. Next, the cassava pulp will enter the hydrocyclone station for further purification, washing, and refining. Finally, by dehydrating the excess water in the configuration for the next drying stage. This is the workflow of cassava starch processing stage!

In the wet cassava starch processing process, the drying stage involves drying the wet cassava starch. The dehydrated cassava starch slurry will be transferred to an airflow dryer, using the negative pressure drying principle to ensure that the moisture content after drying does not exceed 14%.
